Each time you drink a glass of water, wash your hands, prepare a meal, walk past a tree, or watch the rain fall, recognize that clean water is an essential ingredient for life. Whether it is supporting human consumption
or ecological functions, your community is fortunate to have ready access to clean water.
Only 2.5% of the world’s water is freshwater and only 0.007% of that is deemed clean enough and available to drink. This is why it is critically important to protect this vital resource. We all have an important role in protecting the
rivers you love, the water you drink, and the water you use every day. Please don’t let this generous challenge grant drift away. Give a gift of $10 or more to PRWC between 7 a.m. on April 26 and 7 p.m. on April 27. Every dollar raised during the 36-hour online giving campaign will be stretched further by bonus funds and prizes donated by Connecticut Community Foundation and generous sponsors.
