Executive Director Carol Haskins to Receive Adele Taylor Civic Award

The Woodbury Democratic Town Committee, in coordination with the Taylor family, is inaugurating The Adele Taylor Civic Award by announcing this year’s honorees as Carol Haskins, Maureen Denver, and Bud Neal.

The Adele Taylor Civic Awards are given annually to Woodbury residents who embody the irrepressible spirit of goodwill and practical optimism that Adele Taylor (1927-2021) brought to her life-long engagement with Woodbury.

PRWC's Executive Director Carol Haskins is receiving this award in recognition of her dedicated years of service to the town of Woodbury. In her 16 years with the Pomperaug River Watershed Coalition, 5 of which in the role of Executive Director, Carol has been a fierce protector of Woodbury's water resources.

Carol serves locally on Woodbury’s Stormwater Management Committee and Three Rivers Park Advisory Committee as well as on the State Water Planning Council Advisory Group where she represents Water Resources.

The presentation of these awards will be held on Sunday, September 15th from 4-6PM at Woodbury Brewing Company (738 Main Street South, Woodbury, CT). The Democratic Town Committee (DTC) will be providing pizza, and drinks will be available at the cash bar.
