PRWC is happy to announce that our commitment to watershed protection and recent restoration and stewardship efforts have helped Southbury achieve its Sustainable CT Silver Certification this year! Sustainable CT is a statewide, voluntary certification program that supports sustainability best practices in Connecticut municipalities. Earning a Silver Certification reflects advanced initiatives in sustainable practices and community engagement. This achievement highlights Southbury's proactive approach to sustainability and extraordinary commitment to equity. To obtain Silver Certification, Southbury worked across twelve sustainable impact areas ranging from community building, thriving local economies, vibrant arts and culture, clean energy and energy conservation, clean transportation, reducing waste, clean air and water, long-term resilience to diverse housing.

PRWC is proud to work in partnership with Southbury on protection, restoration, and stewardship actions that underscore the importance of protecting water resources and is committed to supporting climate resiliency actions to help Southbury achieve its Gold Certification in the future.
