Harry and Imani will be working this summer on stream crossing assessments and aquatic invasive species removal.
Harry Harwood is a rising senior at Connecticut College majoring in Environmental Studies and Government and is very excited to be pursuing the Dr. Marc J. Taylor Internship at the Pomperaug River Watershed Coalition for the Summer of 2024. He is a lifelong resident of Woodbury, CT and enjoys running cross country and track and field. Harry spent last summer researching, taking measurements, and studying invasive species inhabiting rivers in Connecticut and Maine through Connecticut College’s SSRI program. He spent his most recent semester studying environmental pollution abroad at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland and is looking forward to this summer at PRWC.
Imani Rodriguez is a rising senior at Eastern Connecticut State University who is currently pursuing a BS in Biology and a minor in Environmental Earth Sciences. She has a serious passion for avian sciences and is a dedicated naturalist whose primary focus lies in the conservation of important habitat for native wildlife (birds and beyond). She is excited to work with PRWC this year as she will have opportunities to meet new people who are interested in similar fields and gain knowledge and field experiences while working towards conservation efforts in CT.
